Some of you may recognize this recipe from my previous website. I wasn't able to transfer all of my recipes to my new site, so I thought I would share one of my previous recipes to help with the transition. I make this dish almost weekly so it made sense to share it. I hope you enjoy this dish as much as my family does!
Ingredients:
1 lb. fresh green beans, ends trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
1/2 lb. bacon, finely diced
1 c. onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 c. chicken broth
Directions:
1. In skillet, fry bacon until crisp. Remove the bacon and drain on paper towels.
2. Saute onion and garlic in bacon grease over low heat until soft, about 2-3 minutes. Add the green beans, stir.
3. Add the chicken broth, cover, cook over low heat until green beans are crisp tender, about 30-35 minutes.
4. Garnish green beans with cooked bacon before serving.
